Douglas Schuyler Brown

New Middletown, OH - In loving memory of Douglas S. Brown, who passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on June 29, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman, Ohio. Douglas was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan, on April 5, 1943. Douglas was preceded in death by his father, Lawerence S. Brown, and mother, Deloris E. Brown Andrychuk. Douglas was one of five children, sister Marylin (Brown) Cataldo of Springfield, Massachusetts, brothers, David Brown, West Palm Beach, Florida, Duane Brown of Cheyboygan, Michigan, sister Faye Schlieckbier of Battle Creek, Michigan.

Douglas was married to Bethany (Herfurth) Brown since March 6, 1965. Douglas had two daughters, Mary Beth (Brown) Preston (Kevin) of New Castle, Pennsylvania, Jayne (Brown) Satterlee (Paul) of North Jackson, Ohio. He leaves behind three very special grandchildren, Paul Douglas Satterlee, Emily Lauren Rutkowski, Lynzi Jayne Satterlee, and one very special great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Schuyler Rutkowski.

Douglas was a very successful owner of D&J Tool & Die for forty years in Vassar, Michigan. He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Canfield on July 22, 2017 from 10 AM until the time of Doug's Memorial Service at 11 AM officiated by Pastor Rebecca Zielke.
