Edward Worthington Ward

Niles, OH - Unexpectedly at home on Thursday, December 21, 2017, Edward Worthington Ward, age 72, passed into God's care.  He was born in Warren, OH on March 2, 1945 to Edward W. Sr. and Juanita (Gibson) Ward.

 Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Verna (Young) Ward of Niles; children, Jeff (Missy) Ward of Girard, Carrie (Tom) Walker of Columbus, Jason (Shawna) Ward of Niles, Jarrod (Amy) Ward of Girard; his grandchildren who loved him deeply and all called him "Poppie;" Nicole, Lance Walker, JJ, Hannah, Jaycee, Sadie, Malla-Ky, Nirvana Ward; great grandchildren Mason, Miley and JT and other family and friends.

​Eddie was an over the road truck driver until he was diagnosed with diabetes at which time he became a mechanic servicing the same rigs he use to drive.  After his retirement he enjoyed his passion for Nascar racing and spending time with family especially watching his grandchildren grow and play soccer.

Eddie honorably served his country in the United States Army.
