Sharon, PA - On Saturday, October 28, 2017, Laura Catherine "Lil' Laura" "Punkie" "Punky" Flynn, 46 years young, passed away at home. She was born on August 15, 1971 in Sharon, PA to Thomas G. and Mary Jane (Summerville) Flynn of Sharon, PA.
Besides her parents Laura is survived by her children, Athena A.Flynn, Damon R. Flynn; grandchildren, Samara Law, River Gallagher and Axel Gallagher all of Sharon, PA, grandmother, Laura I. Flynn of Burghill, OH; sister, Nancy J. (Donald R. Scheil) Flynn of Norfolk, VA; nieces, Miranda L Harwood, Julia R. Flynn, Isabell N. Flynn; nephew, Raymondlee T. Flynn, great nephews, Nikadian L. Harwood and Achilles O. Harwood all of Norfolk, VA; many, many Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Everyone is invited to help celebrate her life that was ended way to soon. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, niece, cousin and friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all. She was fighting a hard fight. Her body was always in pain and she found an alternative to ease her pain. She had a disease and it's name was "Addiction." Unfortunately the choices she made have taken her away from us too soon. Her urn of ashes is yet further evidence of a raging epidemic of heroin addiction in our country. I hope that this unfortunate event lays heavy on the hearts of those also affected by this disease. We share this, not to speak ill of the deceased but in the hope of saving a life. We pray that Laura has found peace.
The Flynn family is holding a "Celebration of Laura's Life" at 4 PM on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the Sharon Baptist Church, 1531 George St., Hermitage, PA 16148. There will be a "Pot Luck" gathering of family and friends immediately following the religious service. If you are able please bring your favorite dish.
