Cornersburg (Boardman Twp), OH - At home unexpectedly in the early evening of Thursday, December 28, 2017, Marjorie (Balciar) Gotshall, age 84, passed into God's care. She was born in Youngstown, OH, on March 3, 1933, to Andrew and Lydia (Komada) Balciar.
Marjorie is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, Paul D. Gotshall; children, Paula (Jeff) Ludt of Poland, OH, Lynn (David) Brownell of Warren, MI, Wayne Gotshall of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Kristy (Jimmy) Ernest, their children, Landon and Addison, all of FL, Courtney (Austin) Copper, their children, Cameron and Kylie, all of SC, Natalie (Blu) Stephanos, their daughter, Lilly, all of FL, Shelby (Pete) Doll, son Gannon, Kelly (Patrick) Swayze, their son, Denver, all of MI, Kara Brownell of MI; siblings, Prescilla "Sil" (Paul) Baker of Mineral Ridge, OH, Paul (Diane) Balciar of Franklin, TN, Ben (Linda) Balciar of NC; sister-in-law, Anna Marie (the late Mario) Terrigno and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Besides her parents Marjorie was also preceded in death by her sister, Ella (the late Fred) Cory; brother/sisters-in-law, Mary (Mike) Reese, Doris (Bernie) McKay, Charles Gotshall.
Marjorie was a great friend to the many people she regularly encountered in her life. She was also a loving caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a devoted wife. She enjoyed time with her family and especially her one "fun" vice of playing the One Arm Bandits at the many casinos she and Paul would visit. This activity gave them the outlet to travel, socialize and meet others who just "enjoyed life."
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at Noon in St. Christine Church, 3125 S Schenley Ave., Youngstown, OH 44511.
The Gotshall family suggests material contributions in Marjorie's name to the American Kidney Foundation or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
