On Wednesday, November 21, 2018, Charles H. Powers Jr., age 58, took ill and passed away suddenly at Heritage Valley Medical Center in Beaver, PA surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ on March 16, 1960 to Charles H. Sr. and Donna (Kline) Powers.
Besides his mother, Donna of Meadville, PA, Chuck is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Paula (Medley), whom he married on September 7, 1985; his children, Charles (Amanda) Powers (her two daughters, Bella and Emmy), Jessica (Gary) Knittle of Canfield, Krystal Powers of Salem, Taylor Powers of Austintown; grandchildren, Camden, Grace, Zoey, Paxton, one little bundle on the way; four sisters, three brothers, many nieces, nephews and other family members.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles H. Powers Sr.
Chuck drove truck for forty years before becoming a mentor in the last few years and training the next generation of drivers. Even when he wasn’t working Chuck still could not stay away from Byers Garage just to socialize and talk with his friends.
Chuck worked very hard for his family and to him family came first. It was these traits that made him such a great family man. He had a unique personality and a one of a kind sense of humor. Chuck loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He got such joy from nurturing their mischievous side. Chuck was loved by so many and will be missed by even more.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony honoring Charles will be held on Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 1 to 5 PM in the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1655 S Raccoon Rd, Austintown, OH 44515.
