Sadly, on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, after an extended illness, Charles "Butch" Elsbury, age 60 passed away in St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Charles was born on in Youngstown on September 4, 1958 to the late Charles and Barbara (Zoppelt) Elsbury.
Charles made a career as an over the road truck driver for over 25 years. In his spare time he enjoyed not only working on dirt track cars but racing them. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.
Charles is survived by his siblings, Debbie (Jack) Bartlebaugh of Youngstown, with who he made his home, Sharon (James) Courtney of Youngstown, Karen (Rick) Boylen of Fl, Gary (Stephanie) Elsbury of Macedonia; nieces and nephews, Kelly Bartlebaugh, also with who he made his home, Jennifer (Tyler Evans) Marshall, Amy (Osman) Rogers, Candie (Frank) Courtney, Jospeh (Janet) Courtney, Daniel May, Mark (Kim) Schlute, Melissa (Brian) Lasher, Sharon (John) Boylen, Gary Elsbury, Alexandra Elsbury; 12 great-nieces and nephews and the loving family dog, Lucy, with who he enjoyed her company immensely.
The family would like to thank the staff at KLG and Fresenius Kidney Care Physicians Dialysis of Youngstown for their great compassion and care during Charles long illness.
