Edward Johnson Obituary

Edward Hunter Johnson, 76, of Warren, transitioned into peace on September 27, 2018, surrounded by family, following an extended illness.  He was born on April 10th, 1942.

Ed is survived by his daughter Michelle (Alex) Janosik, of Howland, his sister Kirsten (Gary) White of Mesa, Arizona, and four nephews; Eric, Jeremy (Dorean), Ethan, and Jarrod (Rumi), along with cousins Sarah, Heidi, and Joshua.  He is also survived by the family Coonhound, Sadie AKA “Moose”.

Besides his parents; Mildred and Edward Johnson, Ed was also preceded in death by his best friend and beloved dog, Sara, who passed away in August at 18 years old.

Ed served his country honorably in the Air Force and worked in Vietnam during the war.  He spent the majority of his working time at Peerless Electric and retired in 2004.  He enjoyed fishing, Vietnamese food, animals, and Rock and Roll music.  He had a great sense of humor, and was a loving and supportive father to his daughter Michelle, who considered her dad to be her best friend.

Instead of a traditional service, several celebrations of life have been handled by the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ed’s name to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, in honor of the many animals we have all loved.
