Eledore "Al" Stefanik

At the home he shared with his daughter and son-in-law on, November 5, 2018, Eledore “Al” Stefanik, age 95, of  Warren, Ohio passed away peacefully.  He was born October 15, 1923 in Belmont County,OH, the son of the late Michael and Mary (Lendak) Stefanik. 

He is survived by his sister, Geraldine Cashman of Chicago, IL; his longtime companion, Veronica Steinbeck, of Champion with whom he shared his life for the last 25 years; his children, Monica (David) Unkefer of North Ridgeville, Michael (Elaine) Stefanik of Janesville, WI, Debbie (Rick) Pastva of Bazetta, Leslie Stefanik of Fairfax, VA., Michele Tempesta (Marcus) of Warren; grandchildren, Ken Balentine of Lumberton, NJ., Erin Betley of  Beloit, WI., Sarah Melhuish of Middleburg Heights, Joshua Stefanik of Warren and great-grandson, Hunter Balentine of Lumberton, NJ. 

In addition to his parents, Al was preceded in death by his siblings Albert, Ermil, Agnes and Aglia.

Al honorably served his country during WWII in the United States Army.  After returning to civilian life, he worked at Packard Electric where he retired after 30 years of employment.  He was also an amazing golfer.  Over the last forty years Al had thirteen holes-in-one to his credit.  He enjoyed watching Indians Baseball, walking the family dog, Gracie, and staying active. 

Private family service and internment will be observed.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
