On Tuesday April 30, 2019, Fae A. Oliver, age 80, of Warren passed peacefully at the residence of her daughter, Nancy, after a long battle with cancer. She was born in Youngstown on September 22, 1938 to Harry J. Edwards and Florence A. (Conway) Edwards Nahm.
Fae is survived by her children, Charles Oliver, Bruce Oliver, Brenda DeMarco, Nancy Chipps; brother, Harry "Johnny" Edwards, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Fae was preceded in death by her life long companion, Frederick "Andy" Villers, and sister, Florence B. Barthany.
Fae enjoyed children and the happiness they bring to the world. It was no wonder that she retired after serving over twenty years as the Crossing Guard at Alden Elementary School where she also was a part-time Noon Aide. She had a long list of things she loved. They included her beloved dog, Betty, bird watching, scratch off tickets or as they were referred to, "scratchers," baseball games, eating out, concerts, as well as, her plants, flowers and nature in its entirety. She enjoyed her time here and lived life to the fullest!
While her passing brings pain, sorrow and sadness to her family, her memories bring happiness and joy. This is the time to remember her, so instead of the sorrow and pain, pick yourself up and SMILE.
Calling Hours will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1-4 pm at Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S Silvat Inc, 3896 Oakwood Ave., Austintown, OH 44515. A private committal service will be held later so she can be laid to rest next to her life long partner, Andy Villers, as was her request.
