Isaiah Aaron Smith

"Lost to us, in his fifteenth year of innocence, we grudgingly release him to his ancestors, the family that he has yet to know. There, in that place, in their arms he will be welcomed and cherished and allowed to grow to his full glory.  We who are left behind are thankful for the brief seconds that we were able to share his smile and hear his gentle voice; still we will selfishly hold on to his spirit. 

Isaiah Smith, “Zay” to his mother, “Zay-Zay” to his sisters was born June 26, 2003 and passed October 29, 2018.  He enjoyed playing and listening to music, reading, learning, and cultivating deep friendships.  What he would have been, we will never know.  What he is to us, we will never forget.

Isaiah leaves behind his mother, Olivia Queener, father Eric Smith, two sisters Victoria and Tinia Smith, and two brothers, Quinton and Preston Queener.  Also mourning his passing are his maternal and paternal grandparents, a slew of aunts and uncles, and many friends.  Drawn close to his flame our lives are forever made warmer.  Rest with the knowledge that you are loved."

Isaiah was a sophomore at Chaney High School.
