James Nelson Boggs

James N. Boggs, Sr. fell asleep in death on Sunday evening, October 6, 2019, at home, surrounded by family.

He was born February 15, 1928 in Franklin, PA, the son of Arnold and Clara (Haggerty) Boggs.

He leaves to cherish the memory of his life...his wife of over 24 years, Marsha (Morrow) Boggs, son, Mark (Penny) Boggs, step-children, Bruce (Diane) Lydic, Scott (Lori) Lydic, Brenda McKelvey; grandchildren, Jessica Lira, Mark R. Boggs, Sarah (Brian) DeFord, James N. (Chloe) Boggs III, Jeremy (Danielle) Lydic, Melissa (Jason) Seidle, Amanda Snyder, Eric Lydic, Ashley Lydic, Brendon Lydic, Kirsten Lydic, Shane McKelvey; loving great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nathan, Morgan Stumph, Paxton, Jakob DeFord, Landon, Jackson Snyder and Liliana Oracio; siblings, Donna Schneider, Carol Ann (Thomas) Meredith, Richard Boggs; numerous nieces and nephews that he dearly loved and he referred to as his No. 1.

Besides his parents, James was also proceeded in death by his son, James N. Boggs II; step-son, Darren R. Lydic; siblings, Norma, Betty, Ted, Arnold and George.

Jim retired in 1994 from his position as Business Agent for Local Union No. 66,  Youngstown, Operating Engineers.  He enjoyed a retirement of travel and family enjoyment until his death.  He included gardening and Bible reading into his daytime activities.  He was a member of the East Palestine congregation of Jehovah's witnesses which he loved.

Friends and family may gather from 4 pm until the time of Memorial Service at 5 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2019 at the East Palestine Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 700 Brookdale Avenue, East Palestine 44513.
