James Underwood II Obituary

In the early morning of Wednesday, August 15, 2018, James Underwood, age 64, was called home to be with the Lord in Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown, OH. James was born in Youngstown, OH on March 11, 1954 to James and Flora Lee (Gilford) Underwood.

James leaves to cherish his memories his three daughters, Rochelle (Eli) Walton of Toledo, OH, Andrea Brooks of Youngstown, OH, Monique Daniels of Youngstown, OH; three sisters, Ameenah "Debra", Nadine, LaVette; six brothers, Mahdi Sr., Irephram, Daniel Sr., Azzad, Azziem, Walid; his special uncle, Louis Underwood; eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family. is survived by his three daughters and other family members.

Besides his parents, James was also preceded in death by his son, James Shake Underwood III.

James went to South High School and after graduation worked as a laborer in the steel mills. He loved music, dancing, drawing, building, working on construction projects and crossword puzzles. James was loved dearly by his family and will be missed.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018.
