Janice A. (Spano) Horton

On Thursday, May 3, 2018, Janice A. (Spano) Horton, age 79, gained her Angel's Wings at home surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer.  She was born in Warren, OH on April 22, 1939 to Joseph Spano and Stella (Konopka) Spano Dugan.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Carl R. Horton; daughters, Tangi Day, Karla (Kevin) Hartill, Sharon Walters; grandchildren, Donald (Chris) Day, Jordan Stevenson, Jaycee Butcher, Troy (Anna) Roper, Mark (Becky) Roper Jr; several other grandchildren , great-grandchildren, as well as many other family members and friends.

Besides her parents, Janice was also preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Spano; grandsons, Clifford Day and Daniel Day.

Janice attended Warren Harding High School where she was a member of the Cheerleading Squad.   She went on to marry the love of her life, Carl R Horton, on March 5, 1960.   They enjoyed 58 wonderful years of marriage and they fulfilled their dream of enjoying country life, family, and helping just about anyone that needed it.  She was dedicated to her duties of being a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She also loved animals and she enjoyed fishing, bowling, reading, the outdoors and most of all family time.

In following with Janice's wish there will not be any service.  In lieu of flowers, material donations may be made in her honor to a local animal shelter or charity.
