Joseph John Sinkovich Jr

After a long and courageous battle with cancer and in the loving arms of his family, Joseph John Sinkovich Jr, age 73, passed into heaven on July 5, 2019 at 10:18 pm.  He was born in Youngstown, OH May 7, 1946 to Joseph John Sinkovich Sr. and Stella (nee Lisowski) Sinkovich Fotiuk.

Joe is survived by his wife, Kathleen (Kisel) Sinkovich of Canfield, OH, daughter, Michelle Sinkovich of Columbus, OH, son, Joseph John (Alicia, nee Riccihiuti) Sinkovich III, of Pensacola, FL, Cheryl (Robert) Rosales, of Crum, TX; grandchildren, Nick Johnson, Mike Johnson, Adam Galvin, Holly Galvin, Gina Sylvester, Brooklyn Sylvester, Frankie Sylvester, Allie Sinkovich and Joey Sinkovich IV.

Besides his parents, Joe was also preceded in death by his sister, Delores Bennett.

Raised in Briarhill, Joe attended Rayen High School and went on to work at Packard Electric for over 35 years.  He loved his wife and remained steadfast and committed through sickness and health for over 35 years.  He was truly her protector.  As a father he was firm, unwavering and principle based. He did not accept a job poorly done or disrespect of others.  He was never unkempt, his yard was immaculate, cars clean and children in order.  He was responsible, took pride in what he earned and made sure it was well taken care of.  He gave his family the foundation to build upon. Thank you, Dad. 

Joe loved golf and was an incredible golfer having made five holes-in-one.  He loved the game but loved the friendship and camaraderie that the game provided.  The “Sink Tour” was well known throughout the area.  Having as many as 50 men sharing a game of golf and building lifelong friendships for over 50 years. “He was a good man and a better friend he is going to be truly missed by everyone that knew him”.

Cathie and Joe loved their puppies, Zeva and Rosie, who will miss him dearly.
