Kathleen (Hanmer) Lohrenz

Kathleen Lohrenz, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2018, at the home of her daughter.  She was born on October 21, 1928 in Ludgershall, England to Alfred and Ethel (East) Hanmer.  She married her husband, Victor Lohrenz, on December 15, 1951 in Liverpool, England.  He died on May 4, 1975.

Kathy and Vic immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1956 then to Bedford, OH in 1959.  She made her home in Hudson, Ohio for the last forty four years.

She is survived by her children, Susan (Fred) Weisberg of Hudson, OH, Ian (Staci) Lohrenz of Dalton, OH; grandchildren, David (Rebecca) Weisberg, Steven Weisberg, Daniel Lohrenz, Kayla Lohrenz and Keith Lohrenz; great-granddaughter, Zoe Olivia Weisberg; brother, Brian Hanmer of Liverpool, England; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Vic; siblings, Doreen Heaps, Geoff Hanmer and Ronald Hanmer.

She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and many kids she babysat and loved so dearly.

Family to receive friends on August 4, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12 noon at Christ Church Episcopal Chapel, 21 Aurora St, Hudson, Ohio 44236.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Kathy's name to the Wayne County Humane Society, 1161 Mechanicsburg Rd., Wooster, OH 44691 in honor of her beloved dog, Sam.
