Larry James Johnson

After a long illness on Monday, October 29, 2018, Larry James Johnson, age 65, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family and friends .  He was born in Bellefontaine, OH on November 8, 1952 to Dora Johnson.

Larry is survived by his Sweetheart of twenty three years and wife, Sheri Johnson; sons, Josh, Joseph, Justin and William; daughter, Sarah; step daughter, Tabitha; sister, Claudia and so many friends that he met along the way.  He was proud of his nineteen grandchildren that knew him as "Pap".

Besides his mother, Larry was also preceded in death by his children, Jeremiah, Sandra and his sister, Jane.

Larry's roots were in Kentucky where he spent most of his childhood.  He honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Larry was also a long time employee of Greenleaf Corp in Saegertown where he enjoyed his work and made a lot of good friends.  He loved the outdoors, nature, especially fishing but most of all he loved the time spent with his children, grandchildren and friends.  He was a selfless person who was always willing to lend a helping hand.   The simple things in life gave Larry so much joy and he loved to laugh. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to your favorite charity veteran's charity or American Legion Post 111.  A private memorial service we be observed.
