Martin Humphries

Youngstown, OH - On Thursday, January 25, 2018, Martin Humphries, age 86, passed away at home with his family. It is the same home in which he was born on November 21, 1931 to Arthur and Mary (Kopeck) Humphries..

Martin is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (Newman) Humphries; children, Brent of Youngstown, Michael (Joyce) Humphries of New Springfield, Sharon (Charles) Mazon of New Springfield; four grandchildren, Ashley Mazon, Scott Mazon, Cody Humphries, Lillian Humphries; sister, Margaret Campbell of Austintown; numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents Martin was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Francis, Charles, Arthur, David Humphries, Rita Raver and Annabell Raver.

Early in Martin's career his worked as a ground's keeper at Calvary Cemetery on Mahoning Ave. and at Todd Homestead Cemetery on Belmont Ave. before becoming a spot welder and retiring from General Motors.

Martin enjoyed his hobbies which included talking and socializing on his CB Radio, working in his yard and gardening, watching wrestling, but most of all spending time with family.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 4 PM Thursday, February 1, 2018 in St Rose Catholic Church, 48 Main St, Girard, OH 44420.
