Mary L. Hoon

On Friday, November 30, 2018, Mary Lulu Hoon, age 76, passed away in Salem North Healthcare Center.  She was born in East Palestine, OH on September 9, 1942 to Leland and Dorothy (Kachner) Hoon.

Mary is survived by her siblings, Jean Ann Noel of Columbiana, OH, Richard (Janet) Hoon of East Palestine (UnityTwp.), OH, Jerry (Lorrie) Hoon of Rogers, OH, Russ (Deb) Hoon of East Palistine, OH, Michael (Kay) Hoon of Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law, Sharon Hoon of Newark, OH; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary was also preceded is death by siblings, James Hoon, Katherine Wyatt, Donald (Linda) Hoon, Terry Hoon and Leland Hoon Jr.

Mary was raised in East Palestine but over the years lived in Rogers, OH, the State of Florida and most recently over 20 years in Struthers.  She was a 1960 graduate of the Beaver Local School District, worked as a Legal Secretary for various law firms and volunteered for the Board of Elections.  Mary was a long time member of St. Nicolas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers where she sang in the church choir which gave her great joy.
