Mary Anna Ortiz Taylor, age 44, passed away peacefully at Caprice Health Center on Monday, January 21, 2019, after an extended illness. She was born in Youngstown on October 20, 1974 to Jose and Nancy (Hayden) Ortiz.
Mary is survived by her children, Alex Taylor of Liberty and Arianna Taylor of Canfield, her father, Jose Ortiz, Jr. of Youngstown, siblings, Joseph Ortiz of Perryville, MD and Theresa Ortiz Duley of Youngstown, grandmother Petra Rios of Youngstown, nephews, Brandon, Jose, Dustin, Dante, and Xavier, many aunts, uncles and cousins, numerous friends that she considered family, and her friend of over 30 years, Jill DeRamo, who has been Mary’s support through her illness and now shares her home with Arianna.
Mary is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy (Hayden) Ortiz Bray, maternal grandparents, Stella and Robert Hayden and paternal grandfather Jose Ortiz, Sr.
Mary attended Campbell Memorial and Springfield High Schools. She later attended Eastern Gateway Community College. Mary was a homemaker and loved her children more than anything in this world. She had a kind heart and was always a great support to anyone who needed her. She always knew how to make people laugh. Mary lived her life to the fullest and never let anyone tell her how to do so.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life Service in honor of Mary, from 2 - 5pm on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Refuge Ministries, 1155 Churchill Hubbard Rd, Liberty 44505.
