I was surprised to hear of Verna's passing. She was a wonderful person. We had such fun together when we were young. I will never forget her. My sympathy goes out to her family.

My deepest sympathy to Verna's family. I just talked to her. She called me to inform me of Eddies passing. We were suppose to get together on Friday, so I was very shocked to see the paper this morning. My prayers are with you all.

To the family of Verna and Edward Ward:

I read with sadness the post on Niles Unleashed about your parents and grandparents. My brothers and sisters lost our Dad at age 82 and our Mom at age 85 now almost ten and two years ago, respectively. They were married almost 58 years; and we miss them today as much as when we lost them. I wish that I could tell you that it gets better, but I'm not there yet. I do, however want to tell you how much my Mother missed my Dad in the almost eight years she lived with him gone from her side. I know It added to her suffering during her last illness. Maybe God has delivered your Mother a "blessing in disguise?" That is my hope for you and them, and for all of us who have ever lost someone we love. God Bless your family at this sad time.
