Alberta Love (Scott) Guy

On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Alberta Love Guy, age 60, of Youngstown, OH, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was born on November 16, 1965, in California, to Clair and Elizabeth (McAdoo) Scott.

Alberta will be remembered through the many cherished connections that shaped her life. Her memory lives on in the family and friends who carry it forward with love. She loved her children and grandchildren "to the Moon and back".

She is survived by her children, Danny (Kayla Carr) Scott of Youngstown, Crystal Guy of Georgia, Keith (Robin) Guy of Lordstown, and Chris Smith of Youngstown; her grandchildren, Alena Scott, Natalee Scott, Callie Scott, Gayge Guy, Brittany Guy, Haley Guy, Samantha Guy, Lindsay Guy, and Marissa Guy; great-grandchildren, River, Neyland, Colton, Jayden, Aivah, Giovanni, Mia, Franky, Ayala, Gian, Gianni, Isabella, and Marquale; siblings, Mickey (Tracey) Hemphill of Liberty and Rob Scott of Youngstown; good friend, Sue Frampton of Youngstown, who was like a sister; and Misti German of Georgia, who was like another daughter. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Scott, Roger Scott, and Terry Scott.

Alberta held a meaningful place in the lives of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and friends, and those lasting bonds remain central to how she will be remembered. Her life was closely woven into the lives around her, and her memory continues in the stories shared by those who knew and loved her. When not spending time with family, she could shop till she dropped. She especially loved travelling and going all out decorating for the holidays.

She leaves behind a lasting remembrance in the lives she touched and in the bonds that continue in her honor.
