Annie Mae Muir, born on October 10, 2001, in Ohio, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2026, at 5:45 a.m. in East Palestine, Ohio. She was 24 years old.
Annie Mae is lovingly remembered by her mother, Judith (Gordon) Muir; siblings Ashley (Matt) Garver, Lindsay Muir, Thomas (Lauren) Muir, Marshall Muir, Gregory Muir, Sophia (Bradley) Shipley, George Muir, and Davie (Harmony) Muir; and nieces and nephews, Matthew, Joshua, Maximus, Natalynn, Bradley, Declan, and Zacchaeus.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Thomas Muir; grandmother, Sally Gordon; and sister, Violet Irene Muir.
Annie Mae had a vibrant personality that shone through her love for life’s simple joys. Her favorite color was pink, a fitting reflection of her warm and cheerful spirit. She had an undeniable passion for food, with a particular fondness for desserts—anything chocolate brought her immense delight. Annie Mae also found joy in creative pursuits like coloring and building puzzles, activities that showcased her patience and artistic side.
One of Annie Mae’s most treasured qualities was her ability to connect with others. She had a special way with children and loved holding the little ones close. Those who knew Annie Mae will forever remember her as the best hugger—a title she earned through the genuine warmth and comfort she shared with every embrace.
Though her time with us was far too short, Annie Mae left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her and inspire them to carry forward the kindness and love she so freely gave.
