Arthur "Arter" Edward Hopkins

On Wednesday, September 3, 2025, Arthur "Arter" Edward Hopkins, age 58, of Youngstown, OH passed away at his home. He was born In Youngstown on October 31, 1966, to the late Arthur Turner Davidson and the late Edna Lane (Cook) Hopkins.

Arthur completed residential training and graduated from Job Corps where he obtained his GED. He then enrolled in Harding Business College in 1988, where he maintained a 4.0 grade point average while obtaining a  Certificate in Ohio Peace Officer/Private Security Training and also a Certificate in Private Security/Private Investigation in 1989. Upon completion, Arthur then obtained employment with Allied Security, fulfilling a position as a security guard at Packard Electric for approximately 20 years.

"Arter" is survived by his siblings, Yvonne Patterson, Marilyn Johnson, both of Columbus, Alanna Hopkins, Morris "Keith" Hopkins, both of Youngstown; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

Arter was an avid LA Laker and Rams fan and loved going to concerts.

There will be a Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at 10 Lexington Place, Austintown  OH  44515.
