Barbara Lynn (Caposell) Dominic

After a year-long illness, on Friday, February 14, 2025, Barbara Lynn Dominic, age 64, of Austintown, OH, passed away at Caprice Health Care in Boardman. Barb was born in Youngstown, on April 16, 1960, to Joseph Charles Caposell and Sally A. (Bonser) Miller.

Barb is survived by her beloved husband, Terry R. Dominic of Austintown; children, Kristy (Randy) Grimm of Austintown, Kevin (Danelle) Dominic of Cleveland; her dear grandchildren who called her "GiGi", Hailey Grimm, Khloe Grimm both of Austintown, Ayden Dominic of Cleveland; sister, Nancy Wollet of Salem; mother-in-law, Marlene Dominic (Urich); brother-in-law, Dennis (Lana) Dominic of Las Vegas, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Barb was also preceded in death by her sisters, Sheryl Caposell, Peggy Williams, father-in-law, Donald Dominic and brothers-in-law, Carl Wollet, and Larry Dominic.

Whenever you saw her, whether you knew her as Barb, Barbie, or Gigi, there was always a warm smile and a caring heart waiting.  Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of many with her warmth and kindness.  

If you visited her home, she never let you leave hungry. As a dedicated server at Trax in Austintown, Barbara had a remarkable ability to make patrons feel welcome. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service often meant she knew an order before it was even placed.

Barbara found joy in the simple pleasures of life—gardening, cooking, and admiring butterflies—but above all else, she cherished her family. She selflessly put their needs before her own and created a home filled with love and care.  Whether as a friend, fellow motorcyclist, grandparent, or customer, those who knew Barbara were left with lasting memories of her generosity and compassion.  

We all think it’s safe to say Barb earned her butterfly wings.
