Benjamin Balciar Obituary

On Sunday, April 5, 2020, Benjamin W. Balciar, age 82, passed away in Select Specialty Hospital Youngstown. He was born in Youngstown on September 30, 1937 to Andrew and Lydia (Komoda) Balciar.

Benjamin loved golfing with friends and was an avid reader. He enjoyed traveling and playing the machines at the casino. Ben was an all around "great" husband and grandfather and a "great" Christian man.

Benjamin is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Joyce (Misenheimer) Balciar; stepchildren, David Cormell Jr of NC, Sandy Shingleton of Youngstown, Lynn (Steven) Stolle of Las Vegas; grandchildren, Royce, Rylin, Ryker Cormell, Keith Jr., Brandon, Brooke Shingleton; Brittany, Lexy Koutsoubos; siblings, Cil Baker of Mineral Ridge, Paul (Diane) Balciar of TN; brother-in-law, Paul Gotshall of Cornersburg; two beloved out-laws, who also loved him, Keith Shingleton Sr. and Debra Armstrong, many nieces and nephews.

Ben was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Ellen (Enyeart) Balciar; granddaughter, Jessica Shingleton; sister, Margie; brother-in-law, Paul Baker.
