Blenda Banse Obituary

On Monday, March 18, 2024, Blenda Sue (Dearing) Banse, age 77, of Austintown, OH passed away at St. Elizabeth's Medical Hospital in Youngstown. She was born July 8, 1946, in Marlington, WV to Johnathon Scott and Isabelle (Rock) Weiford.

Blenda was a talented person who loved to create. She was skilled in the art of crochet and she enjoyed making scarfs, scrubbies and many more things. Blenda and her companion, Thomas spent many weekends selling her crocheted items at various craft shows throughout the year. They also enjoyed eating at their favorite restaurant, The Hartville Kitchen Restaurant whenever they went on a day trip to Hartville. To relax in the evenings, she enjoyed watching Law & Order and any type of plant or flower shows.

She is survived by her daughter, Rana Jo (Arthur) Spillman of Niles and her long-time companion, Thomas Swingle of Austintown.

Blenda was preceded in death by her parents, Johnathan S. Dearing and Isabelle (Rock) Weiford.
