Clara Jane (Scott) Gotshall

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, Clara Jane Gotshall, age 92, of Boardman, OH,  passed away at Briarfield Place in Boardman, OH. She was born July 1, 1933, in Dearborn, MI, to Oakey and Magdaline (McCrobie) Scott.  

Clara is survived by her children, Wanda (Kevin) Dierkes of Austintown, OH, and Chris H. Gotshall of Canfield, OH; her grandchildren, Tiffany (Daryl) Clark of Canfield, OH; great-grandchildren, Ian Mangas of Boardman, OH, and Leah Clark of Canfield, OH;  brother, Walter (Linda) Scott of Sebring, OH; and many nieces and nephews.

Clara cherished her family deeply and especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. A talented homemaker and seamstress, Clara was known as the person to turn to when clothing needed mending. Her skill and dedication left a lasting impression on those around her.  

She found joy in dancing throughout her life, enjoying ballroom dancing, line dancing, and polka, and also delighted in bus trips during her time as a resident at The Inn at Walker Mill.  

Besides her parents, Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gotshall; siblings, Anna Mae Sigler, Birdie Lou Stevens, Oakey Rufus Scott Jr., Barbara Jean "Pumkin" Brown, and Michael Scott

Clara’s memory will be treasured by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
