Daniel Joseph McCormack

After a short battle with cancer, Daniel Joseph McCormack III, age 75, of New Springfield, OH passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Holy Family Hospice in Parma, OH surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cleveland, OH on March 6, 1951, to Lauretta Mae (Doebele) McCormack.

Daniel is survived by his children, Brian (Melanie) McCormack of Poland OH, Jessica (Michael) Higginbotham of Parma OH, Tiffany (Micheal) Messer of Punta Gorda, FL; cherished grandchildren, Jessaca, Leah, Michael Jr, Tanner, Jared, Trevor, Gianna, Hailey and Jenna; siblings, Deborah McCormack, Laurence (Denise) McCormack and many beloved nieces and nephews.

After retirement from ABC Bottling Company Daniel became a school bus driver. He drove bus for the schools of Parma, Brookfield, Springfield, and Poland. Affectionately known as Mr. Dan, he was loved by all his students.

Daniel found joy in golfing, fishing, and driving his school bus but he especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Besides his mother, Daniel was preceded on death by his beloved wife of fifty-three years, Karene C. McCormack and brother, Dennis McCormack.
