On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Debbie Starr Parisi, age 67, of Canfield, OH passed away at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in New Castle, PA on July 8, 1958, to Frederick Eugene Sr. and Sally L. (Gilliland) Catron.
Debbie grew up in New Castle, PA and graduated from Union High School. She started working as a waitress and over time advanced to the Laborers Union as a member of the road crew, then the Operating Engineers Union as a machine operator and finally a licensed realtor joining the Youngstown/Columbiana Association of Realtors known as YCAR. Debbie was the association’s past-president and Realtor of the Year. She was active with YCAR’s sponsored charities including Beatitude House and Second Harvest Food Bank.
On a more profound note, Debbie was a Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber Athena Awards nominee. These are individuals who strive toward the highest levels of professional accomplishment: women who excel in their chosen field, have devoted time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and open doors so that others may follow in their path. In 2014 as Debbie’s career peaked and along with her passion for collecting firearm, she founded Iron Sights Armory (ISA) in Canfield which she managed with her son, Eric.
On the personal side, Debbie was active in and was instrumental in starting after-school programs with the Robinwood Lane PTA. She liked the beach, horseback riding, classic and sports cars, art, and shopping but nothing gave her more joy than dining with friends or spending time with her beloved grandchildren.
Debbie is survived by her beloved husband, Gregory A. "Greg" Parisi whom she married on June 2, 1979; children, Jackie (Jordan) Whitesell, Eric Parisi; grandchildren, Lauren Parisi, Dylan Oxley, Brianna Parisi, Brenden Parisi all of Canfield; siblings, Sally Catron, Frank (Amy) Zurasky Jr, Frederick Caton Jr., all of New Castle, PA as well as nieces, nephews and a close network of wonderfully supportive friends.
Besides her parents, Debbie was also preceded in death by her infant sister, Sally.
Family to receive friends for a memorial gathering from 4:00-7:00 pm on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S Silvat Inc., 3896 Oakwood Ave, Austintown, OH 44515.
