Deborah Sue (Tabor) Joyce

Deborah Sue Joyce, 79 of New Springfield, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, February 15, 2024, in her home surrounded by family. 

Sue’s heart was a never-ending river of love for her family and friends.  She was a strong-willed, independent woman who shared her impeccable advice, asked for or not, with her children and grandchildren.  Calling her a “Firecracker” would be an understatement as she left an impression with anyone who was lucky enough to cross her path.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Thomas “Jamie” Joyce and her children Rhonda Ball, Pete Sarver (Jeanette), Missy Taylor and Brian Taylor; step-children, Linda Rust, Gene (Micki) Taylor, Cheryl Joyce, Cathy (David) Hanes, Christopher Joyce and step-daughter-in-law Kathy Joyce.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren Katie Grist, Trenton Ball, Petey (Rachel) Sarver and Hayden Rogers; as well as step-grandchildren Larry (Sarah) Rust, Landon Rust, Becky (Will) Atkinson, Kim Taylor, Nichole (Steve) DeBone, Tim (Cara) Hanes, Tyler Hanes, Corey Vukovich, Tommy Joyce and Tanner Joyce; along with several great grandchildren. 

Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her grandson, Taylor Rogers, and her step-son Thomas Joyce, as well as several aunts and uncles.

 As per Sue’s wishes, there will be no services.
