Donald Lee Jones

In the early hours of Wednesday, March 25, 2020, Donald Lee Jones, age 65, of Youngstown, passed at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.  Don was born in Youngstown on May 17, 1954 to Paul and Dorothy (Cole) Jones.

Don is survived by his sons, Jason Jones, Lucas Jones, both of North Carolina; brother, William Jones and his loving girlfriend, Hope Haney of Austintown, OH.

Don enjoyed caring for his dogs, working in the yard, walks in Mill Creek Park, listening to music and watching cowboy/western movies.  He was a big fan of Elvis Presley, John Wayne and was a life-long fan of the Cleveland Browns.

After graduating from Austintown Fitch High School in 1972, Don went on to work at General Fireproofing until the Youngstown plant shutdown in 1990.  He retired from Hynes Industries, where he worked from 1990 until 2016.  

Besides his parents, Don was also preceded in death by his brother, Paul "Butch" Jones.
