Edwin Alvarez, age 49, a devoted husband, loving son, proud entrepreneur, and fiercely protective father, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Even through life’s greatest challenges, Edwin remained strong, driven, and surrounded by love.
Edwin is survived by his beloved wife, Kelli; his children, Ramon, Jazlyn, and E’mari; his loving mother, Maria Alvarez; and his stepfather, Raphael Romero.
Edwin was preceded in death by his cherished son, Luis Riviera, his grandmother, Felicita Morales, and grandfather, Carmelo Morales, and his father-in-law, Joseph Zurko, with whom he is now reunited in eternal peace.
Edwin’s legacy continues through his greatest blessings, his grandchildren: Amelia, Luis, Thalia, and Valentina, who brought him immense pride, light, and joy.
A true man of many talents, Edwin built his life with ambition, skill, and heart. Over the years, he proudly served as a Deputy Sheriff and Corrections Officer with Columbiana County, owned two restaurants, operated a car shop, and founded his own remodeling and restoration business. There was nothing he couldn’t fix, build, or bring to life when he put his mind to it.
His work ethic was unmatched. Edwin believed in dedication, discipline, and honest labor. He worked countless long days and nights, not for praise, but because providing for his family was his greatest mission. His children saw the meaning of hard work through his example, his sacrifices, and his consistency.
Above all, Edwin was a father who didn’t play about his kids. His love was fierce, protective, and full of pride. Every business he built, every early morning, every long night, it was all with one truth behind it: his family came first. Always. His children were his heart, his drive, and his legacy.
He will be remembered for his strength, craftsmanship, loyalty, and the powerful love he shared with his family. Cancer may have ended his earthly journey, but it could never take his spirit or the impact of his love.
Edwin Alvarez will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always honored.
A celebration of life will be held in his memory to honor a remarkable man, a father, husband, grandfather, builder, and entrepreneur whose love and lessons will continue to guide his family.
