On Monday, May 27, 2024, Elizabeth Ann Powell, age 68, of Youngstown OH passed away at St Elizabeth Hospital-Youngstown. She was born January 8 , 1956 to Samuel Pflugh and Donna Lee (Jenkins) Pflugh.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Joshua M (Keri) Bears and daughter Sara Powell; grandchildren, Mason, Camden, Mariah, Gage, Jase, Madison, and Haley.
When Elizabeth's sister Rebecca passed away on New Year's Day 1986, she and her mother, Donna took in and raised Rebecca's children as if they were her own. Elizabeth is also survived by her additional children; sons, Robbie Bowman, Matthew (Brandi) Pflugh, and Christopher Bowman; daughter, Melissa (Jeremy) Host; additional grandchildren, Liam, Zack, Mykah, Kye, Genesis, Christopher Jr, Kaylin, Dylan, Nathan, Rebecca, and Emma.
Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca Bowman, and brother, Neal Pflugh.
Many who knew her well called her BB. Elizabeth cared so much about her family and loved ones. She sacrificed everything she could to be sure that her loved ones had what they needed at all times.
She loved to cook. Countless times she would watch The Food Network and duplicate their recipes. Or even ask “Alexa” to help her put her own twist on them. She loved animals and her dear cat GiGi. Elizabeth would often donate money to the local animal shelters. She had a huge heart for all animals and they were always drawn to her as well. A true sign of a kind soul.
Elizabeth loved to learn and took pride in gaining knowledge. She always wanted to be tested on her knowledge and quiz others with trivia questions - particularly interested in politics and current events. She greatly enjoyed her lifelong love of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians/Guardians. Her days and nights were planned around when they would be playing.
Above all else… she was the most loving and caring person the world could ever see. She loved with all of her heart. The love that she gave will be felt for eternity. We loved her with all of our hearts.
