Felipa Ordonez Obituary

Youngstown - Felipa Anna Ordonez, 83, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Mercy Health Hospital.

Felipa was born October 29, 1937 in Youngstown, Oh, a daughter of Dominga and Pascual Zamudio and the first in line of nine siblings.

She worked faithfully for 40 years at the Penn-Ohio Towel Supply and she attended Victory Christian Center in Coitsville, OH.

Felipa was a member of the Sociedad Mutualista Mexica, The Blind Society, Sunshine Seniors and various other clubs. She enjoyed word search books, Bingo, Turner Classic Movies, Crazy Rummy and casino trips with friends. Music had a special place in her heart, especially Mariachi music and artists like Pavarotti. But her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family.

She will fondly be remembered and sadly missed by her family: her sister, Ines (Phil) Parchman, Arlington, TX, her brother, Richard (Janet) Ponce, Youngstown, OH, her brother, Louis Zamudio Youngstown, OH, her brother, Jose (Debi) Zamudio Youngstown, OH, her sister Maria (Jose) Colon, Beverly Hills, FL, her brother, Pascual Jr (Kathy), Ft Myers, FL, her sister, Patricia Zamudio, Youngstown, OH, and sister, Genevieve Zamudio, Youngstown, OH; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and a host of friends, including special friendships she acquired while living at the Grovewood Manor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dominga and Pascual Zamudio, grandmother, Maria Diaz, and long-time friend, Frank Thomas.

Memorial tributes may take the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association in her honor.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation & Funeral Service by Gary S Silvat, Inc. and Lake Park Cemetery in Youngstown, OH. Due to Covid-19, family and friends are encouraged to visit the website at www.cremateohio.com to share memories and condolences. A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date.
