Geraldine Andrews

Austintown, Ohio – Geraldine Andrews, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, October 6th, 2020, at Briarfield Manor Nursing Home.  She was born on April 4, 1931, in Youngstown to the late George and Anna (Hrivko) Andrews.

Geraldine grew up on the West Side of Youngstown and held many clerical jobs in the area throughout her life.  

Geri loved to paint and color. At Briarfield Manor, she even assisted the Activity Department with their monthly calendar, being in charge of ensuring the calendar was perfectly decorated for each season. Along with her love of art, Geri also had a love of fashion. She always looked very stylish and kept up with the latest trends by looking in magazines for the latest clothes that were in style.

Geri is now with her sister and best friend, Dolores, who passed away in 2017. Those who were lucky enough to know Geri take comfort in knowing that she is reunited with Dolores and the “puppies.”

Geraldine was truly loved by anyone who met her. Her smile and warm personality could make anyone feel welcome. She always made sure to ask how everyone else was doing, even if she was struggling.

Geri will be missed by her close friend, Sandy, who looked after Geri and loved her. Geri will also be missed by everyone at Briarfield Manor very much, who loved her like family.
