Harold Wayne Bennett

On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, Harold Wayne Bennett, age 75, passed away peacefully at his home in Girard, OH. He was born December 19, 1950, in Philippi, WV, to Dwanles Ace and Mary Etta (Carpenter) Bennett.

He proudly served in the United States Army, a commitment that stood as an important part of his life. He will be remembered by those named in his family circle, including his former wife and friend, Cheryl Bennett; his step-children, David Day and Dawn Day; his siblings, Wanda Hughes, Mary Schall, and Dwanles Bennett; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Winkleman.

Harold's life was marked by the places and people connected to his journey, from his birth in West Virginia to his passing in Ohio. His military service remains a notable part of his life story and legacy.

He will be remembered with respect by those who knew him.
