Howard E. "Gene" Austin

On Thursday, July 31, 2025, Howard E. "Gene" Austin, age 75, of Youngstown, OH passed away at Hospice House in Poland. He was born in Youngstown on December 8, 1949, to the late Howard and the late Elsie Irene (Mansfield) Austin.

Gene was a 1967 graduate of Boardman High School, honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and  retired from Continental Airline after thirty years of service. He is survived by his siblings, Carole J. Kosa of Hubbard, David W. (Diane) Austin of Canfield; and nephew, William C. Schwartz of West Middlesex, PA.

According to Gene's wishes, he will be laid to rest in a private burial in Lake Park Cemetery with his parents.
