Jack Neal Rupert, 82, of Boardman, Ohio passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. He was born on April 30, 1938 in East Palestine, Ohio to the late Oscar and Elsie Rupert, and was one of three boys with brothers, Fred and Clark, who preceded him in death. Jack graduated from East Palestine High School and then attended Youngstown State University.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Donna; son, Bryan; daughter-in-law, Ellen; and granddaughter, Erika. Jack will be remembered by his daughter, Arlette (William), of Youngstown, Ohio, his son, Neal, of Youngstown, Ohio, and grandson, Jason, of Annapolis, Maryland. He is also survived by Donna’s children whom he always thought of and loved as his own. Donna's children include Rick (Nelda) of Owasso, Oklahoma, Rob (Beth) of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Mike (Kelly) of Seattle, Washington. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren: Erin, Matthew, Alex, Harrison (Alyssa), Max (Jenny), Caroline, Parker, Conner, Lucas, Rory, Erica, and Jason, and great grandson, Hudson.
Jack worked in sales for 18 years before moving toward a career in sales and installation of appliances which he enjoyed until his retirement. Jack was truly a “Jack” of all trades and enjoyed taking care of handyman projects for family, friends, and neighbors, at the expense of his own house sometimes. He was an avid fisherman and loved his yearly trips to Canada, although the fish always felt safe when he came calling. For him it was about the experience of being in nature with friends and family. While Jack may be gone, his legendary stubbornness lives on through his children…child…Neal.
Due to circumstances there will be no formal services. The family would greatly appreciate that you make a donation to Ohio Living Hospice should you want to send condolences or contribute.
