On Wednesday, December 10, 2025, Jacqueline Marie Balot, age 62, formerly of Oil City, PA, passed away at home in Ellwood City, PA, surrounded by her children. She was born November 18, 1963, in Oil City, PA, to Stanley and Ruth Ann (Olon) Balot.
Known to many as Jackie, she brought joy and laughter to those around her with her wit and sense of humor. A naturally social person, she enjoyed rock music, tanning, and supporting causes close to her heart—especially animal welfare organizations like the ASPCA.
Jackie faced life’s challenges with resilience and grace. Despite the adversities she encountered, she remained upbeat and determined, always greeting the world with a smile.
She is survived by her children, Heather Gay (Jesse) Hilverding of Parkersburg, WV, Kathryn (Stephen Haupt) Park of Ellwood City, PA, and David (Christina Brown) Park of Erie, PA; and her cherished grandchildren, Elyas and Aviendah Haupt. Also surviving is her brother Edward (Crystal) Balot of Knox, PA, along with her partner of many years, Mark Mansfield, and their beloved dog, Carlos.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Stanley David Balot, Stephen Balot, Lawrence Balot, and Theodore Balot—all of Oil City.
A celebration of life will be announced by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jackie's memory to the ASPCA.
May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
