On Friday, January 12, 2024, James Howard Arnold, of Austintown, OH passed away peacefully with family by his side after succumbing to health problems for a short time. He was born on July 17, 1952 in Youngstown, OH to John R and Lorena M (Lynn) Arnold.
Jim graduated from Fitch High School in 1970. He began his career with General Motors at age 18, retiring after 30 years. He was a proud member of Buckeye Van association through the 1980's and 1990's. Jim also found enjoyment in riding motorcycles and also taught his wife to ride. They enjoyed many times together joining poker runs and fund raisers.
After retiring, he enjoyed tinkering with wood and watching NASCAR. However, Jim spent the majority of his time helping fellow members of AA by giving rides to meetings, sponsoring and helping so many people in his years in AA. Jim took pride in achieving 18 years of sobriety.
Jim loved his family very much and hoped they all found happiness in life.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Julia Ann (Isaacs) Arnold, a brother Randy Arnold of Youngstown, children Jason (Autumn) Arnold, Jon (Jennifer) Arnold, Danielle Kiraly, her companion Ben Joltin, Jessica Arnold, her companion Kris Kelley, as well as 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and the anticipated arrival of a second great grandchild this month, as well as many nieces and nephews that he he loved so very much..
Besides his parents, Jim was also preceded in death by his brother John "Bob" Arnold. Jim's request, there will be no services and a private memorial will take place with family. The Arnold family would like to thank family and friends for all of their prayers and condolences.
