Janet Darlene (Shearer) Winger

Janet D. Winger, age 72, of Youngstown, OH, formerly of Franklin, PA, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on May 26, 1953, to Robert C. and Helen (Floyd) Shearer.

A 1971 graduate of Franklin High School, Janet worked as a nurse’s aide until her retirement.

Janet loved spending time with family and watching The Waltons. She was also a big Steelers and Mountaineer fan.

Janet is survived by her daughters, Tonya Coe, Nicole Manross; stepdaughter, Helen (Young) Littlefield; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, McKenna, Addison, Melissa; great-grandchildren, Keoni, Amari, Charlotte; sisters, Lois (Dennis) Dillaman, Barb (Rick) Nelson; niece, April Nelson, and former sons-in-law.

Besides her parents, Janet was also preceded in death by her grandson and great-grandson.

A celebration of Life service will be held in September with Rev. Rick Nelson officiating. Please check back for exact date and time.
