John Seaton Curtis Jr

On Friday, June 5, 2026, John Seaton Curtis Jr., age 77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 25, 1949, in Youngstown, OH, to John and Gail (Wymer) Curtis.

A carpenter by trade, John was known for his deep love of animals, having had many dogs and cats throughout his life. He enjoyed spending his time sitting on his back porch, sipping a cold Genesee beer, and feeding the squirrels peanuts with a slingshot. He was an avid cook and loved feeding and entertaining guests.

John is survived by his wife, Jeanne (Johnson) Curtis; his nephew, Garrett Crucian; his cousin, Elizabeth (Sam) Wymer; his step-children, Natalie Clouser-Kuhn and family of Youngstown, OH, and Emily Desilets and family of Westerville, OH. He is also survived by his "sister", Rita White of Youngstown, OH.

Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Anne Crucian.

John's life was marked by his gentle spirit and the simple pleasures he cherished. He will be remembered fondly by his loving family and all who knew him.

Per John's request, there will be no services.
