Judith Marilyn (Filo) Bartholomy

On Saturday, December 14, 2024, Judith “Judy” M. Bartholomy, age 86, of North Lima OH, passed away at her home at Aventura Assisted Living. She was born August 21, 1938 in Youngstown Ohio to Frank and Mary (Gbur) Filo.

Judy was a 1956 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Soon after graduating, she married David E. Bartholomy and had four children, David Jr., Victor, Edward, and Dennis. Judy was a member of various clubs, including Garden and Saxon Club. She was a long-time resident in Boardman and Austintown.

After the boys were older, Judy began selling real estate at Bartholomy Real Estate with her husband David. After a few years, she received her Brokers license and started her own company, Dial One Realty, focusing on residential real estate.

Judy’s favorite hobby was collecting antiques and glassware. She loved going to flea markets and auctions to find unique, one-of-a-kind items. Judy had a kind heart and always liked to help those in need when she could. Judy was friendly and outgoing and made friends wherever she went. She had many friends at Aventura Assisted Living.

Judy divorced David Sr in 2016, but they remained close friends and saw each other often until David Sr.’s death in 2023.

Judy leaves behind four sons, David E. Bartholomy Jr., Victor T. Barthlomy, Edward F. Bartholomy, Dennis M. Bartholomy; sister-in-law,  Nancy Bartholomy Budd; granddaughter, Tara Lynn Bartholomy Croker; and great-grandchildren,  Lexi, Tyler and Dylan Croker.

Judy was preceded in death by her ex-husband David Sr., her parents, and her brothers Edward F. Filo (1956) and Eugene G. Filo (1946).

Family to receive friends from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm, on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield OH 44406 . Services will begin at 12:00pm with lunch to be served after the service.
