On Thursday, January 1, 2026, Karen Ann Behanna, age 78, of Struthers, OH passed away at Beeghly Oaks Rehabilitation Center in Boardman. She was born on June 14, 1947 in Youngstown to Thomas and Elizabeth (Gavalier) Mihalko.
Karen was a 1965, graduate of Struthers High School then worked at Barnes & Nobles Book Store in several states and later at CVS Pharmacy from where she retired. She was a very giving person who loved reading, doing crafts, and cooking. She was quick witted, loved to write stories, and spending time with her friends especially over a good meal. Karen's favorite activities included trips to Butler hunting for antiques and going to parks or anywhere she could partake in her love for photograph. She even won a prize for her picture of the Old Mill.
Karen will be missed by her BFF's Peg Malatok and Ginny Lewis.
A service will be held in Holy Trinity Church in Struthers, OH. Details will be announced in the coming week.
