Karen Debra Burkhart

On Friday, October 31, 2025, age 59, of New Castle, PA,  passed away at Jameson Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born February 7, 1966 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Irwin and June (Morhoff) Burkhart.

Karen was the proud mother of three children: Justin Chuderewicz; Carolanne Mwila and her husband Dalton Mwila; Nicholas Burkhart and his wife Pamela White. Her legacy continues through her seven grandchildren—Rick, Lily, Corvin, Saige, Eries, Aleczander, and Keegan—as well as bonus grandchildren by marriage: Latishia, Jayvin, Kayaunna, John, Trysten, and Cayden. She also leaves behind a great-granddaughter, Rowan. Karen was part of a large and loving family that included her brothers John Burkhart, Robert Burkhart, and Ralph Burkhart; her sisters Judy Burkhart and Kathleen Hoffman.

She was cherished by her extended family of fifteen nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jayne David.

Karen’s life touched many across generations. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
