Karen Lynn (Bondish) Morar

On Monday, August 3, 2026, Karen Lynn Morar, age 75, passed away peacefully at her residence in Boardman, OH. She was born May 12, 1951, in Youngstown, OH, to Nicholas and Mary (Komara) Bondish.

Karen was a devoted mother to her two sons, James Morar Jr. and Nicholas Morar (Stacey Rodriguez) of Youngstown, OH. Her love for her children was unwavering and a cornerstone of her life. She is also remembered fondly by her sisters, Barb Wilmington of Alabama and Nancy Ellen (Dave Walp) of Boardman, OH. Karen cherished her extended family as well, including her niece Lisa Jones of Oklahoma and her great-nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her nephew Charles "Chuckie" Duncan.

Karen had a deep affection for animals and shared her home with her beloved cats, Alice and Lucy. Her love for animals reflected the kindness and warmth she brought to all aspects of her life.

Throughout her career, Karen worked in various roles that showcased her dedication and work ethic. She contributed to the community through positions in home care as well as at Schwebel’s Bakery and Walgreens. Outside of work, she found joy in cooking, gardening, camping, and spending time with friends and family. These passions brought vibrancy to her life and created lasting memories for those who knew her.

Karen’s legacy is one of love—for her family, friends, animals, and the simple joys of life. May her memory bring comfort to all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Karen's life.
