On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, Kathy Lynn Becker, age 72, of Mercer, PA, passed away at Quality Life Services in Mercer, PA. She was born August 23, 1952 in Butler, PA to Joseph and Muriel (Hallman) Dipner.
Kathy lived a very simple life, but one of selflessness and compassion for all animals. Serving as Secretary/Treasurer for Club Pet Adoption, a rescue of all breed animals, she devoted her life to helping all animals. She had a love for all dogs; but a soft spot for Dobermans and Beagles. She fostered many special need and senior dogs and bottle raised many puppies and kittens. Kathy especially loved horses. Growing up in the country as a young girl, she loved to spend her days riding through the open woods on her horse. Her heart and soul was rescue. Her remarkable dedication to animals in need will leave a lasting legacy.
Kathy’s other small pleasures were reading books, playing computer games, indulging in pineapple upside down cake or a banana split and listening to her favorite music from Disturbed. She also loved her birds and her aquariums.
Kathy always said that she would earn her place at the Rainbow Bridge so she could spend eternity with her dogs. She lost her last soul dog, Hank, a year before she became sick. Her family and friends find peace in knowing she has reunited with him and all the others she so loved. She will be deeply missed but will live in our hearts for eternity.
Kathy leaves behind her daughter Missy Gourley of Greenville, PA; her best friend of 22 years, Diana Estman of West Middlesex, PA; her beloved granddaughters, Krista (Steve) Dunkerley of Grove City, PA; and Erika Gourley of Farrell, PA; six great grandchildren, Kalissa and Brayla Dunkerley, Izech Schou, Jaxen and Javen Wright, and Lilliana Weir; and her brother, Chuck (Ann) Leydic of Mercer Pa.
