Kathy Louise Goughnour

On Tuesday, January 16, 2024, Kathy Louise Goughnour, age 76, of New Castle, PA passed away peacefully at UPMC Hospital/Jameson in New Castle.  She was born on April 14, 1947, in Johnstown, PA to John Carl and Margie Louise (Lichtenfels) Wilmes. 

Kathy married Donald Earl Goughnour on April 16, 2005.  She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family.  She was a member of New Hope Wesleyan Church in New Castle.  Kathy enjoyed cooking and attending the Over The Hill group at her church.  

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Rey) Archuleta of New Castle, PA; grandsons, Steven Archuleta and Troy Archuleta both of New Castle, PA; great-grandchildren, Steven Jr., Victoria, Jacob, Miyiah Ava; nephews and nieces, Crystal, Russell, Timothy Jr. Nicole, Jackylynn, Amy; siblings, John (Laurie) Wilmes of New Castle, PA, Timothy (Peggy) Wilmes and 5 great nieces. 

Besides her parents, Kathy was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Earl Goughnour who passed away on July 4, 2016.

A celebration of life will be held at New Hope Wesleyan Church, 2300 Pulaski Road New Castle on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at 2:00PM.
