Unexpectedly, on November 1, 2024, Kirk Alexander Sargent, age 78, passed away at home. He was born in Bismarck, ND, on June 22, 1946, to George and Geraldine (Tompers) Sargent.
Kirk is survived by his children, Michelle (Derick) Fletcher of Canfield, Chad Sargent of Austintown; grandchildren, Emerson Fletcher of Columbus, Ethan Fletcher of Canfield; siblings, Larry (Carol) Sargent, Linda Shaw of Hubbard, Gary (Diana) Barnes of Mineral Ridge; brother-in-law, Joseph (Tammy) Tisone of FL; his buddy, his son's dog, Star, as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Kirk was also preceded in death by his wife, Karen Rose (Tisone) Sargent; siblings, Sam, Craig, Gary Sargent; brother-in-law, Robert Shaw.
Kirk was a Life Member of the United Association of Journeyman and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada and a forty-one-year member of Local Union 396, Plumbers and Pipefitters since March 1966 as a Journeyman, Coordinator, Instructor and Officer. After retirement, Kirk volunteered making ramps for those in need through the United Way. He was a devoted husband, caring father but his favorite role of all was that of “Pop Pop” to his grandkids. “Pop Pop” never missed an activity either of his grandchildren, Emerson or Ethan, participated in throughout their school careers.
