Krystal Lynn Donofrio

On Tuesday, June 10. 2025, Krystal Lynn Donofrio, age 45, of Austintown, OH passed away. She was born in Youngstown, OH on December 21, 1979, to David Allen and Vickie Lynn (Carlson) Donofrio.

Besides her parents, Krystal is also survived by her siblings, Daveen (Eric) Dombrowski of Cortland, Clayton (Jesse Pokrajac) Donofrio of Akron, Matthew (Erin) Donofrio of Boardman; nephew, Lincoln Dombrowski; nieces, Lennox Dombrowski and Kinsley Donofrio, all of whom she adored.

Krystal was a people person. She never met a stranger, which is probably why she chose healthcare as her career path. Krystal was a proud STNA, state tested nursing assistant, in area nursing homes and loved being with the elderly and disabled patients who she grew to love as family. Krystal loved fashion and always had the most fabulously manicured nails. She also enjoyed hearing stories told by her sister and mother who uncovered many facts while doing genealogical research about their family history.

While Krystal was a beautiful person on the outside, she was an even more beautiful soul on the inside. For years, she struggled with substance abuse but before that struggle took her life, she helped others through their own addiction. May those she helped pass that kindness on as part of Krystal’s legacy.

The Donofrio family is privately celebrating Krystal’s life and wishes for privacy during this emotional period.
